How to Make Onde-Onde (Easy)

Onde-onde is a traditional kuih in Malaysia. It is popular in most Asian countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore. They might have different names in other countries. Onde-onde is a type of kuih where it is usually served during tea time. Aunty Azah, an accidental chef is here to share her onde-onde recipe.

 

INGREDIENTS 

2 CUPS OF STICKY RICE FLOUR

STEAMED COCONUT WITH A PINCH OF SALT

GULA MELAKA (PALM SUGAR)

PANDAN JUICE (BLEND 10 PIECES OF PANDAN LEAVES WITH 1 CUP OF WATER)

DESICCATED COCONUT

DIRECTIONS 

1. Put sticky rice flour in a bowl to

2. Add 1 cup of pandan juice into the bowl and mix them together

3. Scoop the mixture and flatten the dough

4. Wrap chunks of gula melaka into the dough and roll the dough into a ball

5. Boil water in a pot

6. Once the water is boiled, put the rolled dough into the pot. Leave them to boil for 5-10 minutes

7. Dish them out once they float

8. Coat onde-onde with desiccated coconut

9. Enjoy!
